Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hits back at Borussia Dortmund CEO after Arsenal money jibe
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has predicted Hans-Joachim Watzke that a”clown” after the Borussia Dortmund chief executive suggested that he just moved to Arsenal for money.
Aubameyang scored 98 league targets but combined all the side and Arsenal to get a then-club-record fee, known to be 60m, in January 2018 together.
Watzke seemed to have a thinly-veiled dig at the 30-year-old for turning out with Arsenal rather than their Champions League.
According to different reports, Watzke advised Suddeutsche Zeitung:”Of course it is not easy to keep a player in the face of such sums. Where they’ve not played Champions League for many years, some go to nightclubs due to this cash.
“Aubameyang, who performs great at Arsenal, will most likely be warm-hearted when he appears at his bank account, but on Wednesdays will be saddened if he has to watch the Champions League on television.”
However, considering joining the club, Aubameyang, that has scored 49 goals for Arsenal, hit back on social networking, labelling Watzke a hypocrite on the selling of Ousmane Dembele of Dortmund into Barcelona at 2017.
“Better for you I don’t talk about why I really left Dortmund Mr Watzke, you such a man,” he tweeted.
“I remember that you stated we never likely to sell Ousmane then you definitely saw over 100M, you’re the first to take that cash. Don’t speak about cash please!!! Leave me alone pls.”
